New Year, New Fun!

Happy New Year from OCP! We can hardly believe the first month of 2020 is coming to an end. Winter break flew by, and OCP has been back in action since the beginning of January. This month was full of crisp sunny days that helped us get right back into the swing of things.

Before winter break, December was a blur of festive preparations for the holiday season. The kids enjoyed building and decorating adorable gingerbread houses and snowman cupcakes. OCP held our holiday party and fundraiser, which included current OCP families and beloved alumni. We enjoyed raffle prizes, bowling, and even a visit from Santa! What a great way to end 2019!

With the New Year well on its way, our OCP kids have been enjoying all kinds of activities. We watched puppet shows put on by the kids with adorable paper bag puppets, and even practiced earthquake drills. As always, this month has seen its share of glittery crafts, cakes and pies made of sand, princess dress-up, and all of the wonderful imaginative play that we love at OCP. January was a busy birthday month around here too. It’s so much fun to celebrate our growing kids on their special day.

Teacher Jenn and the Pre-K Class started the year off right by setting their 2020 Goals. The goals included everything from having healthy teeth to learning how to play piano, as well as having more playdates and being kind. Did you set any New Year’s resolutions for 2020? More importantly, have you kept those resolutions this first month of the year?

The semester is just getting started, and we can’t wait to see what Spring 2020 brings! Be sure to stay tuned for monthly blog updates. Future posts will include updates about our spring Open House and annual Fun Run fundraiser. Thanks for being part of our OCP family!
