PRE-K
Pre-K is held Tuesdays and Thursdays 12:30 - 2:30 PM.
Pre-K is for 4 and 5-year-olds and is meant to complement and build on our preschool program, therefore only current OCP students are eligible for participation in the Pre-K program.
A maximum of 13 students may enroll.
OCP's Teacher and one working parent are present each day (child/adult ratio 6.5 to 1)



LEARNING AND GROWING!
To build on the socialization and enrichment of the OCP preschool experience, OCP Pre-K additionally incorporates an age-appropriate academic curriculum designed to prepare children for kindergarten.
Skills and concepts include, but are not limited to:

Listening and following directions

Sitting attentively for 15-20 minutes

Writing numbers and letters

Recognizing consonant letter/sound relationships

Understanding/manipulating items according to size, opposites, etc.

Printing name in upper/lowercase letters

Reciting essential personal information

Demonstrating proper grip for pencils and scissors

Increasing overall independence (separation from parents, use of buttons/zippers, communicating needs, sharing with classmates
