Children age 2 years 9 months to age 5
are eligible for enrollment in our preschool program.

A healthy snack is served daily.

OCP's Teacher and three working parents are present each day
(child:adult ratio 3.25 to 1) with a maximum of 13 children.

LEARNING IS FUN!

OCP is a playschool-style preschool,

with an emphasis on free play, inside and outside.

We offer open access to a painting easel with washable paints daily.

Playdough and other manipulative, sensory-play mediums are made available.

Art is process-oriented, rather than product-oriented.

Daily circle times led by our teacher feature stories, music, felt board, and group play.

Optional show and tell is held each day, encouraging and reinforcing self-esteem, public speaking, turn-taking, and sharing.

Social-emotional learning is emphasized, with daily "feelings checks" and age-appropriate mindfulness activities like breathing and body awareness.

Art and creative play choices may include:

  • Dress up clothes and hats for role-playing

  • Play kitchen with accessories and baby-doll play area

  • Outdoor water table

  • Tuff Tray Sensory Table

  • Light table

  • Blocks

  • Playdough, slime, oobleck, cloud dough
